Taxi in Istanbul

The taxis in Istanbul are yellow and have taxi signs on the roof. It’s usually easy to find one, almost anywhere in the streets.Yellow taxis are the standard local taxis.

Although Istanbul taxis are generally very well monitored and safe, sometimes you may find a driver that will be rude or try to scam you.

they use their own mobile taxi meter which very fast and the money goes very fast so instead of using the normal taxi-meter.

the yellow taxi don't take credit card, they normaly take cash money. When you enter the taxi, the driver will activate the meter.
